‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet Muhammad (May Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him) used to say, “The best amongst you are those who have the best manners and character.” (Translation of Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 56, Number 759)

Jarir ibn ‘Abdullah al-Bajali (May Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (May Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him) said, “Allah will not be merciful to those who are not merciful to mankind.” (Translation of Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 93, Number 473)
